Bio

Stephanie Scott-Snyder is the author of the forthcoming psychological thriller DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES. 


Stephanie is a forensic mental health clinician and criminal behavior expert with over 15 years of experience conducting psychological risk assessments and providing court-ordered therapy to offenders. She is a member of the fabled Vidocq Society, where she profiles cold case homicides, and serves as a behavioral science expert for the Cold Case Foundation and the Cold Case Investigative Research Institute, where her team recently got an indictment on a 25-year-old murder case. Stephanie is a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor (CCFC) through the National Association of Forensic Counselors (NAFC) and

teaches forensic psychology at Lehigh and DeSales Universities. She is the author of two textbooks: Introduction to Forensic Psychology: Essentials for Law Enforcement and When Women Offend: Crime and the Female Perpetrator. For the latter, she spent months interviewing women incarcerated for violent crimes. Prior to her work in forensic psychology, Scott-Snyder was a Writer/Producer and Creative Director for network television and worked on projects including Forensic Files, Body of Evidence, and The First 48. She’s a member of ITW and Sisters in Crime.
